Marriage - A different Face of a Society

Marriage! It is said that Marriage is where two souls meet. Those souls that god had paired up somewhere. Its just that people have to hunt their soul mates here on the earth. It is also said that souls have no face, no figure, no complexion, no personality. They are pure. They have a nature, a character, a behaviour wherein if one soul has more of anything mentioned above and one is lacking in something, their pair would match and they would be complete. "Rab ne banadi jodi."

BUT...

What happens when these souls take birth on this earth? They get a face, a figure, a personality, a character, a nature, a behaviour, a point of view.

Its time we are grown up and our parents look for our soul mates now but how would they search? By nature? by character? By behaviour? that's what our soul mates had when god paired us.. right? WRONG..our soul mates would be dashing handsome guy, beautiful looking babe, Muscular/good personality man (tall dark.. oh no now its tall fair and handsome). Poor guys have started using fair and handsome as well.

A girl should have features like Madhuri Dixit. No? ok Katrina Kaif, Figure should be like Deepika Padukone, Face should be cute, beautiful, naughty like Malika Sherawat, last but not the least "Paisa bolta hai bhai.."

Ambani ka beta hota toh.. he bhagwan bhag hi khol diye aapne.. wow.

By the time our soul mate reaches this earth he is judged on materialistic things that are fake. Then why match kundli's, why one has to check whether guy is manglik or not?

Ladki thodi kaali hai hmm.. thodi moti bhi hai.. I don't understand does complexion or figure matter so much to this society?

I know girls who look simple might be fat or overweight or may be dark in complexion who are really good natured, handle entire house, family, successful in their profession, a good mentor, friend to her younger ones, good cook, a good friend to rely on still are unmarried till the age of 29 ( Avery worrying age for girl's family)

I guess being a girl, all the above are important to be a good housewife. But why she is not married? Just because she is dark or no may be she is over weight. Does nature and responsibility change?

I also know girls who look awesome, good figured, good complexion, 10 kgs of make up on their face. But can't handle job and house, Can't handle career and profession. Out of 24 hrs, 12 Hrs they sleep, 2 hrs they have other activities which are completely unproductive and remaining time either shopping or may be some discotheque or may be some hang out joint. But these girls get married sooner. At the age of 23 they get married till 28 they are worried about their figure and after that because they are scared to deliver a baby so they adopt one. What a Indian society?
You must be wondering why I am focusing on girls and not on guys. I don't deny the fact that guys don't experience all this and are still single. I do know few of them. But I also know many whoever, whatever, however they might be still girl should be good looking.

This was just one face society beholds. The other face of society is still existing which revolves around social networking sites, messenger, chat rooms etc.

It is very obvious that a family who wants the daughter to get married would have profiles made on different matrimonial sites, There are people who take the details from these websites and search on social network sites, connect with the person and start their conversation. They give their details (which are fake most of the time). They try to befriend you and be personal, flirt and then propose for marriage. When you would want to take things further, then a message would arrive in your inbox." Please stay away from my husband. He is married. I can show you our snaps..." Happy Ending!!!

It was my experience that I would like to share. I was chatting on yahoo messenger with few friends online. When suddenly I received a friend request. I asked him from where did he get my id? He said from chat room. I immediately came to know that, That person was lying because I had not entered chat rooms in years. He later on confessed that got my id from my blog. He loved my blogs and wanted to be my friend. Along with that, He had an audacity to tell me that he was married but was looking for a relation. I asked him "Isn't your wife loving?"
He said, " She is the most loving he ever met."
"Then what's the reason for another relationship?"
He said "Time pass."
There are many cases in our Indian society. I did start this topic but do not know how to end because this is a never ending story. Only fact is social network sites are part of hallucinated world. They are not what they seem to be and for girls who can't get married for some illogical reasons. I would suggest make your career, earn well and move out from your family, live your life, the day you feel you need support for your old age, adopt a child. They are many outside. At least that poor child would get a home, food, education and a family he will bless you specially.
